Information regarding UGC NET

Question

Can someone please tell what's the use of giving UGC NET in computer science after doing MTech and have given GATE in CSE?

What benefits will NET give when applying for Phd or as an assistant professor?

What is the requirement of NET? I am currently in 1st year MTech, AFAIK we are eligible only if we are in final year MTECH(ie 2nd year) is this right?

Clearing  NET exam is must if someone wants to Professor/Lecturer in college /University and also useful in Phd

as u may not need to appear in most universities entrance  test for Phd . Its validity is forever

and if u clear net with good rank i.e JRF (Age<=28 for male and <=33 for female) then u will scholarship for phd too

and yes u must be in at least final year of PG for appearing NET and u must clear PG at the time of clearing exam
